About the event
Strengthen your practice. Deepen your impact. Support diverse adult learners with confidence.
This comprehensive ACE professional development series brings together ten practical, one-hour online workshops designed to build capability across the full spectrum of adult and community education. Grounded in the ACE Teaching Standards and Learner Pathways, the series supports educators to create inclusive environments, centre learner voice and agency, design effective learning experiences, and respond to the real-life contexts learners bring.
Across the series, you will explore key areas including inclusive and culturally responsive practice, learner engagement, lesson planning, feedback and assessment, reflective teaching, and building strong learning relationships. You will also gain insights from experienced practitioners through panel discussions focused on diversity, neurodiversity, and community-centred learning.
Whether you are new to ACE or looking to refine and extend your practice, these workshops offer practical strategies, real-world examples, and opportunities to reflect on and strengthen your approach.
Facilitator: Tai Samaeli – ACE Sector Capability Manager, ACE Aotearoa
Tai brings a depth of experience and insight in designing, evaluating and facilitating professional learning and community education programmes across Aotearoa, working with REAPs, libraries, iwi partners, correctional education services, tertiary educators, and adult and community education providers.

Additionally, Tai supports community education organisations to embed the ACE Teaching Standards, build culturally responsive practice, strengthen quality assurance, and improve learner outcomes through his work with Adult and Community Education providers.
